Landscape Projects have been involved in the large scale redevelopment of a waterfront site in Bristol. The development for Castlemore Securities, masterplanned by Urbed, includes buildings by Glenn Howells Architects, Stride Treglown, Atkins Global, Aukitt Fitzroy Robinson and White Young Green and has a range of uses with large office buildings, prestigious residential towers with ground floor retail and commercial and residential streets.
A public realm strategy with a design toolkit was produced in order that a coherent and integrated development was produced. This has since been used to inform the design of each specific phase of the development.
The public realm includes homezone street designs, high quality waterfront promenades, pontoons and cycle storage. The pedestrian orientated streetscape is organised around a central green route that arrives at the water with a major new piece of public art.
