Landscape Projects has some experience of landscape planning in the context of villages in Flanders, through participation in the planning and design of a Care Home housing project for Wingene.
In this shortlisted project, led by Architects Henley Halebrown Rorrison, Landscape Projects’ developed a series of studies of the village morphology and landscape setting. This established
a rationale for :
• scale and massing of development
• courtyard configuration of gardens within building
• identity of garden spaces to support the life of the Care Home
• integration of trees and hedges into wider landscape pattern.
The commission was won by another team, led by Sergison Bates Architects.
